Kim and Jill getting Toby ready for his ear exam
Dr Gessner examining Toby’s ears closely with an otoscope. The owner was concerned he had an infection, but no abnormalities were found so we cleaned his ears well after his exam.
Princess was such a sweetheart!!
Milo has severe periodontal disease as you can see from the large amount of dental calculus and inflammation in his gums. Obviously this is a painful condition, but also small amounts of bacteria can get into the bloodstream over time and this can cause organ damage. The only treatment is a dental cleaning under anesthesia.
Remy was ready for his exam
Kosmo was just such a sweet big cat
Rocky letting Jill give him hugs....maybe a little reluctantly. 😜
Tiger has a history of ear infections and his pinnae (ear flaps) have a crinkled appearance due to scar tissue. This in turn has caused stenotic, or narrowed, canals which has allowed a lot of waxy exudate to get trapped. It was more difficult to clean his ears because of this, but we were able to do it and he was much more comfortable afterward.
